Phillip J. Wright, 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on (September 28, 2019).
Phil was born to John B. And Edith (Grubbs) Wright on Feb. 28, 1948.
Phil was married to Susan Campbell on December 31, 1994. She survives along with their daughter Emily Wright.
Also surviving are his brother Ned (Debbie) Wright of Cayuga and two cousins Larry (Maria) Wright Honolulu, HI and Harold Grubbs (Ima Jean) of Covington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Phil loved that he was a life long resident of Cayuga- only living away for college.
He was always proud of his father starting his Wright Ice Cream, and followed in his entrepreneurial footsteps by opening his own security business, Alarmax Inc. in his 30s with only 100 dollars. He loved his work and stayed up to date with the latest technology. Phil liked to stay up with the latest social technology, enjoyed learning, and all forms of music.
He loved his family and considered it one of the most important things in his life, like his faith. As a member of the Gideon organization, he loved telling others about Jesus, giving out Bibles and seeing others make a commitment to Christ. Phil was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tilton.
Funeral service was held October 4 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga. Pastor Joe Humrichous officiated.
Burial took place in Sandusky Cemetery in Westville.
