Gregory’s Academy of the Arts shares summer plans. The Academy will host it’s second workshop for the 2019 Summer Season on June 8, 2019 at 1 pm at 149 North Vermilion Street, in Downtown Danville, Illinois (Across the street from the Fischer Theater).
The Workshop is only $25 per student and free for those who have a 2018 Gregory’s Academy of the Arts approved production credit.

The Workshop will be focused on Costume Design. The workshop will cover such subjects as “What is a Costume Design?”, Costume Design as both Art and Craft, Elements of Design, and much more.
Those attending the workshop will be able to explore ways to visually communicate in creating a Costume Rendering. The Show focused on for this workshop will be Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s play The Rivals.
Gregory’s Academy of the Arts is already making plans for their annual production of “A Christmas Carol.”
The production will be presented on November 7 at 7 pm, November 8 at 7 pm, and November 9 at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Danville.

There will be a ten minute Audition between 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm on June 8.
At Auditions Actors will be asked to read from the script, sing We Wish You a Merry Christmas Acapella, and confirm rehearsal schedules.

Tickets are on sale for A Christmas Carol. All seats purchased by July 31 are only $12 each. Tickets purchased after July 31 are $16 each. Groups of 20 or more purchased by July 31, are only $10 each.
All seats are festival seating unless with a group of 20 or more. Door open 30 minutes before show.
