The Beef House Dinner Theatre is pleased to announce the very limited run

of their production of “GODSPELL.” The musical by the Oscar and Grammy award-winning composer of “Wicked”, Stephen Schwartz, will play only 4 performances April 12-14, at the Covington venue.

The BHDT invites audiences to come sing about love, hope, kindness, joy & forgiveness in this high energy production of the worldwide hit.  A small tribe of actors help Jesus tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and a hefty dose of comic timing.  An eclectic blend of songs ranging in style from pop and R&B to folk and back to Broadway is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage before dissolving hauntingly in the Passion Play, the messages of kindness, tolerance and LOVE come vibrantly to life.

The Beef House has assembled a young and wildly talented cast to bring the greatest story of love to stage led by Cody Jacobs as Jesus and Kyle Klein II in the dual roles of John the Baptist and Judas.  These versatile actors recently led the revolt as Jack & Davey in the hit BHDT production of “Newsies”.

Jacobs, a senior at University of Illinois as appeared in numerous shows in Peoria & Champaign.  Klein has worked professional across the Midwest and Canada the past few years.

The entire tribe of actors is featured in this ensemble piece.  They include Alaina Allee, Jeannette Cullum, Courtney Hart, Landon Frazier, Lizzy Lerner, Jericho Maniquis, Justin Maniquis, Jerry Strain, Thomas Strain and Madison Thompson.

This production of “Godspell” will include all the great elements you have come to enjoy at the Beef House including vibrantly colorful sets and costumes, a live professional band, passionate storytelling and exciting choreography by the young newcomer and cast member Madison Thompson.
