In local golf action, the Westville Tigers lost a close quad-meet against Bismarck-Henning, Donovan, and Watseka. Adam High led the way for the Tigers with a 40, while teammate, Tyler Strako, carded a 46. The Storm edged Oakwood 186-196. Cole Sanford led the Storm with a 44, while teammate, Lane Weston, scored a 46. Brandon Rowe was match medalist with a score of 43, while teammate, Trent Hicks, carded a 46 for the Comets.
In soccer news, Oakwood shut out Schlarman 6-0. Cole Burris led the Comets with two goals and one assist. Evan Wangler, Mitchell Day, Cameron Haskins, and Owen Bennett each booted in one goal for the Comets. The Buffaloes lost to Hoopeston Area 6-1.
Reed Smith led the Buffaloes by booting in their only goal. Salt Fork/Westville shut out Schlarman 7-0. Noah Darr led the way with two goals and four assists for the Storm-Tigers.
In volleyball news, the Westville Lady Tigers lost 25-23 and 25-13 to Armstrong-Potomac. The Lady Storm dropped Georgetown-Ridgefarm 25-11 and 25-10. Emilie McFadden led the Lady Storm. McFadden had four kills and five digs. The Westville Lady Tigers dumped Hoopeston Area 26-24 and 26-24. Mariah Rolinitis had four kills and seven digs, while teammate,Lauren Barthalow, added four kills and two blocks.
In cross country news, Buffalo long distance runner, Wyatt Avenatti, placed first with a time of 19:26. In the girl’s race, Maddie Brown placed first with a time of 21:43, while Megan McKee, finished second with a time of 23:05.
