Vermillion County Homemakers celebrate Indiana Extension Homemakers Week

The Vermillion County Extension Homemakers recently held their 2nd annual Make 2 Share 1 Craft Day.  This event was open to the public and several area residents joined in.

Participants came together to make fleece tie blankets, fabric wreath decorations, eye glass cases and scissor holders, greeting cards, washcloth bunnies and paper folded butterflies.

In honor of Indiana Extension Homemakers Week, October 16 - 20, the Homemakers will be donating many of the created items to the local community. The blankets will be given to local school students. The wreath decorations, greeting cards, eye glass cases, washcloth bunnies, butterflies and scissor holders will be donated to local senior citizens care facilitates.

Children's crafts of fabric pumpkins and rock painting were sponsored by the Vermillion County 4-H Junior Leaders. All the participants enjoyed the crafting day.
