TOPS in Westville installs new officers

It has been a busy first half of 2017 for TOPS (Take OffPounds Sensibly) IL 1260 of Westville. 

The annual spring auction added $156 to the recognitionfund. This fund is used for prizes and awards for members’ weight losses and other goals met. 

In June, new officers were elected and installed in August.New officers are: Betty Lookingbill, Leader; Doris Urban, Co-Leader; and Cindy Martin, Secretary. Re-elected were Inez Wishard, Treasurer; and Kathie Schmitt and Sharon Nibbe as Weight Recorder and Assistant Weight Recorder respectively. Joyce Cundiff is in charge of all contests throughout the year, and Mary LouCollom is the Music Leader.  Outgoing Leader, Carolyn Ball, was recognized for her many years of service. 

Beginning August 3, TOPS IL 1260 will meet Thursdaymornings at Westville Library. Weigh-in begins at 8:30 am with the meeting following at 9:30 am. This is a move from the previous meeting location, Trinity United Church of Christ who hosted the club for more than 20 years.

The club expressed its deep appreciation for the Church’s hospitality through the years. 

TOPS is an international non-profit organization dedicated to helping its members lose weight without dangerous drugs, fad diets, or extreme exercise. TOPS doesn’t sell food or equipment, promote any single diet plan, or use paid spokes people.

Members are encouraged to eat healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals and engage in age-appropriate exercise. Membership is open to men, women, and children. The motto is: Real People. RealWeight Loss.
