Also the library will hold its annual Back2School Bash on Thursday, August 17 from 1-2 p.m. at the library. Please register by Aug. 15 by calling 247-2820.

Then on Monday, August 21 a solar eclipse will pass over Ridge Farm. According to the N.A.S.A. website they will have 93% coverage in our area.

The start of the eclipse is at 11:54 a.m., maximum eclipse is at 1:22 p.m., and the end is 2:46 p.m. Please join  during those times at Ward Park in Ridge Farm.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, or even a picnic. The library will offer refreshments of “Sun Tea” and “Moon Pies” while we wait for the eclipse. They will also give away, on a first come first serve basis to any Elwood Township resident, a pair of free certified viewing glasses so you may enjoy watching the eclipse without harm to your eyes.
