Otto Newlin Shooting Range 2014 membership applications

The newly formed nonprofit Georgetown Otto Newlin Shooting Range, Inc. will be offering 2014 membership applications on December 1st from 11-5 at the old Georgetown Washington Gym. The building is now called the Georgetown Community Center, which is located on East West Street. Go “east” at the square (4 way stop light). The gym is about a quarter mile east of the square, on the south side of the street. One will see a large parking lot and they will have signs posted.

They are offering 100 membership applications.  All applications will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Once they are all sold, there will be no more memberships for 2014. A waiting list will then be established on a first come, first served basis. If a member finishes 2014 in good standing, they will automatically have the right to become a member in 2015.

After December 1st, membership applications can be mailed in. The applications will soon be available to download at Any application “postmarked” before December 1st will be rejected. Their money will be returned and application denied. This way they are fair to all. Officers and Board members will not be accepting applications and money.

All applying applicants will be required to attend a safety seminar class to be taught by law enforcement officers and the executive board. Once the applicant passes through the safety seminar and the range construction completed, they will then get their membership card and a key to the gate.

The membership fee covers a married couple or single person. The fee is not per person. Individuals 19 or older are required to purchase a membership.

Please feel free to visit their website or contact President Mr. Keith Walker at 662-8971 for additional information and for cost.
