Vermillion County 4-H Junior Leaders complete community service in Indianapolis

The Vermillion Co 4-H Jr Leaders work community service into most everything they do. Their trip to Indianapolis on Christmas break was no exception.

For the 13th year, they’ve voted to go to Coburn Place.

Coburn Place is on W 38th St just west of the state fairgrounds.

It is a renovated elementary school that has 40+ apartments of different sizes.

This amazing facility is a safe haven for some of the worst domestic violence victims and their families from all over Indiana.

The facility has one maintenance man/custodian- one- to keep everything running and clean. Jr Leaders took donations from the wish list that can be found on the Coburn Place website.

They also took down and packed away all Christmas decorations and organized the donations in the pantry.

After service work, the crew toured the Indiana War Memorial, had fun at the Escape Room and ended the day with laser tag.
