DACC’s corporate education classes and training for business & industry

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education department offers many open enrollment classes and also specialized training for business and industry.

The following are the Spring 2019 offerings to date.

 

Pharmacy Technician Course

Jan 17 thru April 18. Meets Thursday from 6-8:30pm. Bremer RM 136. $220 per student.

 

Phlebotomy Techniques

Jan 15 thru April 11. Meets Tues/Thurs 2:30-4:30pm Bremer RM 136. $375 per student.

 

Human Resources Best Practices

Offered in partnership with IMEC:

Learn to develop an HR process to make your company an employer of choice. This boot camp will cover several topics that help you move beyond filling a gap to creating a culture that supports, builds, develops and retains quality employees. Topics covered will include:

January 24 Recruiting ideal candidates.

January 31 Onboarding for success.

February 7 Employee engagement.

February 14 Professional Development and Career Planning 8 am - 5 pm Bremer Conference Center.

$1,295 for series 50% grant funded = only $647.50 person.

 

Human Resources: Ada, Fmla And Workers’ Comp Training

Learn the latest updates regarding The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Workers’ Compensation laws with a special emphasis on FMLA. Covers the different purposes of the 3 laws, the enforcement authorities for each law, the important areas of interplay between the 3 laws that employers need to consider when managing employee absenteeism. Describe and analyze a situation in which the three laws interact, will cover general questions regarding FMLA: Forms to use, when and why and various non-medical reasons for using FMLA especially as it relates to military.

February 6. 10 am - 2 pm with working lunch Bremer Conference Center. $125 per person. Includes lunch from Jockos.
