Vermilion County Museum hosting open house as part of state bicentennial

As part of the Illinois Bicentennial celebration, the Vermilion County Museum Society is participating in Doors Open Illinois on August 11, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and August 12, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This open house weekend will allow visitors to tour the Museum Center and Fithian Home free of charge, and enjoy Illinois history from a Vermilion County perspective.

Come and learn about the impact the environment, agriculture, mining, brick making, railroads, statesmen, businessmen, professionals, and laymen have had in shaping Illinois and the county.
