Conservation District hosting viking gathering

The Pioneer Homestead Cabin at Forest Glen Preserve will be the setting for an educational display of Anglo-Viking era items on May 19th and 20th.   

The display will feature costumed interpreters in a small Anglo-Scandinavian encampment. 

Visitors will find the textiles, cooking and other activities historically accurate to the 950 to 1066 CE time period.

The display is open to the public from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday. 

The event is free to the public.
