Winslow signs for Lincoln College Softball Team

Lincoln College Head Coach Boyd Nowicki has inked the second member of his 2019 recruiting class. 

Senior Emma Winslow, an outfielder from Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School, signed her letter of intent to officially become a Lynx.


Falcons hold on to beat Red Ramblers in homecoming match-up

North Vermillion defeated Attica High School 27-22 in their Homecoming football game on September 21.

North Vermilion’s Jonathon Kilgore received the Fountain Trust player of the game award.

Homecoming floats were presented before the start of the game with a holiday theme.


Danville graduates make NFL rosters

As teams trimmed their rosters down to 53 players Saturday, two former Danville High School standouts found themselves still on an active roster.

Dans Pitchers throw combined no-hitter

On June 23, Danville Dans pitchers, Steven Washilewski and Will Klein combined to throw a no-hitter in Hannibal this evening as the Dans defeated the Hoots 8-0. This is the fifth no-hitter in Dans history, and the first since CJ Burdick tossed one on June 4, 2014.


Westville High School wrestlers sign for Hannibal-LaGrange

Mason McBride and Calem McElwee-Wise have signed letters of intent to wrestle at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri.

McBride went 36-10 in this past season in the 120 pound weight class.


Indiana Force win Early Bird Tourney

The Indiana Force 14U softball team recently won the Early Bird tourney at Terre Haute MSA.

On their way to the finals, the Force remained undefeated, beating Warriors black 17-3, and shutting out the Terror 9-0 and the Warriors black, 8-0.


Vinson perfect on bittersweet day

Chase Vinson’s Wednesday morning began with the delivery of horrible news. His summer baseball pitching coach, former Schlarman star and 23-year-old Tyler Brennan, died late April 17 in a single-car accident east of Danville.


NVJHS basketball teams successful in Banks of the Wabash tourney

The North Vermillion Junior High seventh grade girls, and eighth grade boys  basketball teams recently won the Banks of the Wabash tournaments.

The seventh grade girls defeated Turkey Run in the first round and were victorious over Riverton Parke in the championship. The tournament was held at Turkey Run.
