Catlin Masonic Lodge hosting breakfast

The Catlin Masonic Lodge will have an all-you-can-eat Breakfast on February 16 from 7-11 a.m. at the Lodge Hall.

The menu will include pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, orange juice, milk and coffee.

Free will donations will be accepted.


SBDC calling for Small Business Award Nominations

The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Danville Area Community College is seeking nominations from the business community, the lending community and the public to recognize the critical contributions of the Vermilion County Area’s entrepreneurs.


Georgetown Masons hosting chicken noodle supper

The Georgetown Masonic Lodge will be serving up a deal - you can’t pass it up.

Chicken & Noodles, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and a Brownie  for $6.99 each meal, bring your family, friends.


Georgetown Library book sale

The Georgetown Public Library are hosting a used book sale during the month of February.

The sale includes childrens books, young adults, fiction and non-fiction books.

The library is located at 102 W West Street.


Piano Recital at DACC Bremer Theater Featuring Mark Valenti

Danville Area Community College is hosting a piano recital featuring pianist Mark Valenti at Bremer Theater on February 16 at 7:30PM.

This will be a marvelous opportunity to hear an amazing musician performing the music of Beethoven, Stravinsky, Debussy and Chopin.


A Taste of Deutschland

The Immanuel Lutheran Men’s Club will be hosting their 23rd annual “A Taste of Deutschland” on February 16 from 4-6:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

The dinner will cost $10 for the adults and $5 for children. The menu will include brats from the grill, potatoes, green beans, sauerkraut, pumpernickel bread, and German chocolate cake.


Vance Township Library sponsoring Bingo Day

The Vance Township library is sponsoring another Bingo Day at the Fairmount Fire Station on February 16 from 4-6 p.m.

There will be no fee, but donations will be accepted. Refreshments will be available.


Cayuga American Legion Chicken Dinner

The Cayuga American Legion Women’s Auxiliary will be hosting a chicken dinner on February 16 from 4-7 p.m. EST.

They will be serving fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread and butter, dessert and coffe and tea.

The cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for those 12 and under.


Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting hosting concert

The Vermilion Grove Friends Meeting will serve as host to the Coon Holler Music Studio, owned and operated by Judy Green of Clinton, Indiana.

The  concert will take place on February 17 at 2 p.m. Central Time.

Performing  that afternoon will be The Little Pickers and the Coon Holler Kids.


February is Library Lovers Month at Danville Library

February is National Library Lovers’ month and the Danville Library Foundation encourages patrons to show how much they value their local public library by purchasing a Valentine during the month of February for $1.

Sign your Valentine and the library staff will proudly display it on the first floor of the library.
