Antiquarians meeting in Catlin

The Antiquarians, an antique study group, will be meeting at 7pm on Mar. 27 at the Catlin Town Hall.

The event will feature a program presented by Barb Russian, the president of the Numismatic Association of Danville, on the Study of Coins and Paper Money.

Bring coins and paper money for show & tell.

Everyone is welcome to attend the program.

On the Georgetown Square (The Western Auto Years) is Steve Carroll’s latest book.

Come on down to Georgetown’s Public Library on Saturday, March 21. You can purchase his book and Steve will be available for autographs and visiting with customers from 10 am to 1 pm.

Chrisman High School Theatre to perform classic, 'Oklahoma'

CHS has built their theatre program into an annual delight for theatre-goers in the area, having put their stamp on musicals such as Grease, Footloose, Wizard of Oz, and many more.

This year, they are entering the world of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, Oklahoma.

Edgar County Dental Clinic hosting screenings in Georgetown

The Edgar County Dental Clinic will be hosting “Give Kid’s a Smile!” on March 27 from 9 a.m-3 p.m at the Georgetown Community Center.

Children ages 0-18 who are uninsured or underinsured for dental services OR Children 0-18 who receive benefits through the Illinois Medicaid system.

Georgetown Community Luncheon

The community luncheon at Georgetown United Methodist Church will be served from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m on March 24.

It will be a nice day to invite a friend or a neighbor and enjoy some down-home, country-style fellowship and a good meal. 

Danville Public Library Events

March 22: The Teen Book Challenge will focus on All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and will be held at 5 p.m. in the second floor conference room. For teens, ages 12-18.

March 22: Tween Gaming is a chance for children ages eight-11 to game together in the Children’s Program Room from 6-7 p.m.
