Rick and Paula Roach of Georgetown, IL celebrated their 50th Anniversary on March 11, 2017.
They were married March 11, 1967, at the First Church of Christ in Georgetown, IL.
Mrs. Roach is the daughter of the late Robert and Betty Cornwell.
Mr. Roach is the son of the late John and Anna “Louise” Roach.
(Clinton, IN) – Junior Achievement of the Wabash Valley is the proud recipient of a $500 grant from the Vermillion County Community Foundation. Grant monies will be used to purchase curriculum materials in the areas of work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship for kindergarten through high school students in the South and North Vermillion School Corporations.

Hayley Hardin has made the choice to sign with Danville Area Community College to play softball in the fall. Hardin has been playing softball/baseball since she was four years old and played travel ball since she was ten.
With fourteen years of experience, Hayley has learned how far she can push herself and doesn’t settle for “just ok.”
Tilton trustees have agreed to enter into talks with Presence Pro Ambulance to allow them to provide Advanced Life Support services to Tilton and the surrounding area.

Vermilion County, Illinois – Students and faculty from throughout Vermilion County, Illinois joined others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) MonthTM.
“The Purse-uit of Happiness” a ladies-only fundraising event presented by Presence United Samaritans Medical Center’s Foundation is back by popular demand and scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 6-8:30 pm at the David S. Palmer Arena. The Foundation is currently seeking donations of new or gently-used purses and additional items for the raffle.
The GRCYFO will be hosting their 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8th. The hunt will be at 10:30 am at the Georgetown Park. They will have age groups, up to age 12. This is free to all children. The Easter Bunny will be present to visit with the kids.
An evening with Donald Davidson will be held on Monday, March 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Turtle Run Golf Club and Banquet Center, Danville, IL. Doors will open at 5 pm.
